The Function Room can seat up to 74 people for a formally seated meal. 120 guests are the maximum for an evening reception. We regret that we only cater for evening receptions in conjunction with a main Wedding Reception.

We can also arrange very competitive rates for marquee hire for larger numbers if required on limited dates during the year. Please ask for details

We hold a licence to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies in the main house. Guests can choose from the Library, Main Hall, Drawing Room or Function Room for their Ceremony. Prices are available on request.

The Registrar for the area will also need to attend to perform the Ceremony. Separate fees are payable for this service direct to the registrar at County Hall in Kendal. Before confirming any date for a marriage ceremony with us, it is important to check the availability of the Registrar.
